Hoy se celebra la Ascensión del Señor y ustedes me preguntarán tal cual como lo hicieron hace muchos años en un pueblo de Boconó, Estado Trujillo y ¿qué es la Ascensión, Padre?
La Ascensión es la celebración de cómo Jesucristo sube al cielo, por mérito propio, asciende por sí mismo, y la distinción entre la Ascensión y la Asunción es que la Virgen María es asunta al cielo porque así Dios lo ha querido, y esa es la gran distinción que existe entre esos dos grandes Misterios de la Iglesia.
Y ¿qué significa la Ascensión para nosotros?, que estamos en el tiempo de la Iglesia, que estamos en el tiempo de transformar la iglesia, que estamos en el tiempo de hacer una iglesia que es capaz de evangelizar a los millones y millones de católicos que se han ido porque no hemos sido capaces de servir al Evangelio tal cual como Dios o Jesucristo nos ha exigido.
El día de la Ascensión, es un día en que uno celebra el compromiso que uno tiene de compartir el Evangelio con su familia, con sus hijos, con su mujer, con la gente que uno trabaja, con la gente que uno convive todos los días. Eso es la Ascensión, Dios ha subido al cielo y nos ha dejado una responsabilidad: Compartir el Evangelio para hacer un mundo mucho mejor.
El Señor esté con ustedes y la bendición de Dios Todopoderoso Padre Hijo y Espíritu Santo, descienda sobre ustedes, su familia, sus trabajos, los cuide y los acompañe siempre. Amen.

Today we celebrate the Ascension of the Lord and you ask me as they as they did many years ago in a village Boconó, Trujillo state and what is the Ascension, Father?
Ascension is the celebration of how Jesus ascends to heaven, in his own right, stands by itself, and the distinction between the Ascension and the Assumption is that the Virgin Mary is assumed into heaven because God willed it so, and that is the great distinction between these two great mysteries of the Church.
And what does the Ascension for us?, We are at the time of the Church, we are in time to transform the church, we are in time to a church that is able to evangelize the millions and millions of Catholics that have been because we have not been able to serve the Gospel as it as God or Jesus Christ has demanded.
The Ascension Day is a day that celebrates a commitment that one has to share the gospel with his family, his sons, his wife, with the people you work with people one lives every day. That is the Ascension; God has ascended into heaven and left us a responsibility: Sharing the Gospel to make the world better.
May almighty God bless you, the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit descend over you, your family and jobs. May the Lord protect and be with you forever. Amen |
