La reflexión de hoy está tomada del Evangelio según San Lucas, Dios no es un dios de muertos sino de vivos.

Lamentablemente nosotros vamos a la iglesia son a los funerales, a rezar por los muertos y no precisamente a celebrar nuestra fe y a vivir el misterio inmenso de cómo Dios vive en nuestros corazones. Por eso muchas veces uno cuando está niño y le dicen vamos para la iglesia y dicen quién se murió, es una asociación que no hemos podido transformar y nosotros tenemos que pensar precisamente la iglesia o el templo no solamente como un lugar donde uno se reúne a celebrar su fe y aprender, pero la iglesia es mucho más que el templo, la iglesia es la vida de Dios en nosotros aquí y ahora, es esa manera de ser y de vivir el evangelio en nuestro tiempo y por eso cuando nosotros le hablamos a la juventud que Dios es un dios de vivos, significa que no es un Dios que los abandona, que no es un Dios que no está interesado en ellos sino todo lo contrario. Es un Dios que está muy cerca de la creatividad, del ingenio, de la alegría, nosotros tenemos una pésima costumbre de transmitirle esto a los jóvenes, siempre que le hablamos de Dios a los jóvenes se ponen las manos en la cabeza y dice corcholi ahora que va a ser, ¡qué aburrido!, que van a hacer estas 2 horas o qué aburrida va a ser esta hora cuando a nosotros nos van a hablar de este tema, eso es en las escuelas católicas, vamos a decir en otros ambientes, pero en nuestras propias casas yo les voy a hacer a ustedes una pregunta y ustedes van a tratar de pensar por unos segundos en eso.

En los años que usted tiene junto a sus hijos, ¿cuántas veces usted se ha sentado a hablar de Dios con ellos?, ¿cuántas veces usted se ha sentado a enseñarles el evangelio a ellos?, ¿cuántas oportunidades ha tenido usted de salir con sus hijos a transformar la realidad, a ayudar al que más lo necesita, a enseñar al que no sabe leer, a compartir los libros que ya no usa con los niños que no tienen libros?, nosotros tenemos una gran diversidad de circunstancias en las que podemos realmente generar un profundo impacto, pero el primero y principal no lo hemos hecho, que es enseñar a nuestros hijos que Dios los ama, que Dios los cuida y que Dios es un gran Maestro.

El Señor esté con ustedes, y la bendición de Dios todopoderoso Padre, Hijo y Espíritu Santo, descienda sobre ustedes, su familia, sus trabajos, los cuide y los acompañe siempre. Amen.

Today's reflection is taken from the Gospel according to Luke, God is not a god but of the living dead.

Unfortunately we are going to church for the funeral, to pray for the dead and not just to celebrate our faith and live the immense mystery of how God lives in our hearts. So many times when a child and say let's go to church and say who died, is a partnership we could not convert and we just think the church or the temple not only as a place where one meets at celebrate their faith and learning, but the church is much more than the temple, the church is God's life in us here and now, is this way of being and living the gospel in our time and so when we speak to youth that God is a living god, means that there is a God who leaves, who is not a God who is not interested in them but just the opposite. It is a God who is very close to the creativity, wit, joy, we have a terrible habit of passing this to the young, if we speak of God to young people put their hands on his head and says now corcholi it will be, how boring, you will do these 2 hours or what is going to be boring this time when we are going to talk about it, that's in Catholic schools, we will say in other environments, but in our own home I am going to make you a question you're going to try to think about it for a few seconds.

In the years that you have with your children, how many times have you sat down to talk of God with them, how many times have you sat down to teach the gospel to them, how many opportunities have you had to come up with their children to transform reality, to help those most in need, to teach who can not read, to share the books you no longer use with children who have no books?, we have a wide variety of circumstances in which we can really generate a profound impact, but first and foremost we have not done, which is to teach our children that God loves them, that God cares and that God is a great teacher.
